There aren’t many places more beautiful in Switzerland - or Europe, for that matter - than Lugano.
Surrounded by mountains and on the banks of Luke Lugano, the largest city in the Italian-speaking region of southern Switzerland is truly something to behold.
So too is the Swiss Super League table for FC Lugano who are chasing their first championship since 1949. The Bianconeri are top of the standings after 18 games and face a potentially season-defining match against Basel on Sunday.
With just six points between the top eight teams, Lugano can take nothing for granted. Is this the season their 76-year wait for a top flight title ends?
