AGF’s supporters knew just how important it was for their team’s fixture against OB to go ahead.

Originally pushed back from Friday, it seemed unlikely that the rescheduled fixture would survive as the heavy snow continued to fall on Monday afternoon. A group of fans armed with shovels, however, had other ideas.

Nearly 100 supporters cleared the pitch and stands to ensure the crucial match against OB happened. AGF’s players posed for a picture with them afterwards to say thanks.

The effort was worth it in the end. AGF scored twice in the final few minutes to snatch a 2-1 win and the wild celebrations at full time illustrated just how significant the result was.

There’s a Danish title to be won - the club’s first since 1986. It’ll take more than some snow to stop AGF’s challenge.
